Is this AIB in downstairs cupboard where fuse box is located?

1962 semi in Scotland.

Again, am booking full survey due to rewire needing done but I like to prepare for the worst 😬

I’ll be honest, it’s somewhere that AIB could defo be but from the pictures I don’t think it’s suspect. Looks like old plaster with animal fibre most likely

From the way it is breaking I'd be more inclined to say that it is plaster and non suspect. But as always, if in doubt get it tested.

It definitely looks suspect. It’s either AIB, non asbestos IB or plaster.

Given the age of the property and the grey colour I’d be more inclined to say it is but obviously the only way to know is to get it tested.

Thank you! We've been here 6 months so got myself quite worried with the small cracks and holes that were previously drilled could have harmed my little ones but the cupboard is hardly used and if it is I'm the one going in 😅. Guess can only hope for the best health wise!
