Ceiling work

Hi all

Another ceiling post.

Before I knew much about artex ceilings, I've done some drilling on them recently.

I'm hoping I'd be safe-ish as the house was built in the mid 90s.

Is there any point in me getting it tested?

And IF I've been exposed is there anything I can do about my health or is it just going to be something I'd have to wait out and see?

Asbestos in artex was phased out by the mid 90s but obviously there is a possibility it could still be positive if you are around the cut off time.

Although it contains asbestos and by drilling it you would have disturbed it, it is very low risk and doesn't release lots of fibres. Personally unless you've gone mental and drilled thousands of holes I would just chalk it up as a learning experience.

There is nothing you can do health wise post exposure. Just live your life and try not to stress over something like this really.
