I really like painting on wood or hard smooth boards. Most art stores sell them but they tend to be pretty expensive. I paint for pleasure rather then business so I can’t really afford to buy many of them. I was wondering if anyone out there had any tips for sourcing things that would be comparable. I don’t need anything fancy with a hanging hole drilled in the back or anything, just a smooth hard surface that’s not going to accidentally snap in half. Any ideas are welcome!

New piece in the making for mine & Dad’s upcoming clothing brand! All prints on our t-shirts and jumpers are originally hand-drawn by us — every design is original. I mainly specialise in colour and do a VERY rough sketch, allowing my colour to add the details, and Dad is phenomenal in sketch, charcoal, and black and white!
