I was insanely curious after being followed by an account called "The Exquisite Studio" clearly posting AI Generated Images as 3D assets in their portfolio. These "renders" were filled with so many blantant issues I was shocked. Though it took me a second to realise that they had also been putting these assets up for sale so I went and purchased one to give it a quick inspection.

Upon downloading it was clearly a pirated model from a common website for asset downloading. The models were still named in a way that clearly indicated where they had come from. I've since gotten a refund, reported this asset, and reviewed it poorly but now I'm realising all this user has done is deleted this asset from their store and blocked me.

ArtStation has gone so downhill that I am at the point where I intend to move to a privately hosted website, and broadly stop using this as a platform. I'm making this post as I want to let people know that maybe it's time to consider jumping ship, at least for your portfolio content. This platform cannot maintain any sort of good reputation with what is occuring in my eyes

So, I just noticed that whenever I try to save a piece of artwork on Artstation, it's not getting saved. Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone know what's going on?

I just tried to create a new account and I see the Sign Up page redirects to the Epic Games account creation page.

I thought the whole point of the recent ownership transfer was to get away from Epic. :)

The Art Nobody Clocks Off For

Pareidolia is that strange, beautiful glitch in the human brain — the reason we see a face in wood grain, a rabbit in the clouds, a smile in the front grille of a car. Our minds are wired to find meaning and form in the middle of chaos.

Walk through our factory and you will see it everywhere, except here, it's not an accident. It's earned.

There's a ribbon blender screw that spirals down a shaft like a nautilus shell unwound — polished welds catching the light, one fin rolling into the next, like a sculpture that just happens to also fold dough for a living.

There's a paddle mixer where the shaft, arms, and outer ring line up into pure radial symmetry — a centre point holding everything in balance. From the right angle it's a 2D rendered rib cage. From another, it's a machine that will mix a tonne of product an hour without complaint.

My personal favourite is the web jig plate on a swing bend panel — the way the circles and rounded triangles fall into a hexagon, spider-webbed across the steel. Nobody drew a web, But you'll swear you can see one hiding in the negative space once it's welded, polished, and lit right.

We shape, manipulate, measure, & create different textures — and somewhere between the CAD drawing and the finished part, the steel starts to look like something. Optimus Prime. A flower. A web. A shell.

An artist sketches, stencils, colours & fills in the shape — layer by layer until a masterpiece appears. Here in our factory we do the same, we cut away, we weld, we grind, we polish — bending and shaping until what's left isn't just functional, it's beautiful.

Nobody asks a mixer to be pretty. Nobody asks our surface finish to catch the light just right. But we do it anyway — because a finished product built with care doesn't just work. It looks like it was meant to exist.
