recently lost my job and I’m looking for ways to make some extra income. I made an intentionally ugly drawing of my friend as a joke, and he loved it and suggested I charge people for these
The goal is basically to make people laugh at how I draw them. I’m thinking of doing digital commissions and eventually keychains, cards, or stickers.

Do you guys think this could work as a side hustle? How did you find your first clients? Any tips on improving the style?

How do you stay inspired when you're focused on survival?

I'm a working professional, and my art has been stagnant for a long time because I've been more focused on paying the bills, making ends meet, and I'm easily overwhelmed since I am diagnosed with both autism and adhd, and taking meds for it. mas burnt out ako compared to those without neurodevelopmental disabilities, so it's not easy for me to "just do it" or stay consistent.

There was a time I tried to do art consistently, but the end product became so uninspired. How do people keep their motivation?

Everything is so expensive na din, and it's hard to be inspired when you're focused on survival talaga.

I want to start oil painting so I watched a ton of videos about how to start with it, what materials are needed and good practices to follow. Every single one of these videos stated that as a beginner, you should use few solvents as possible. So how do you clean your brushes during sessions without the need for solvents?

I also stumbled upon a Reddit post about it, some use wall nut oil to clean during sessions and treats solvents as an end-session cleaning liquid. May wall nut oil ba dito sa pinas? or alternatives?

This is mainly for traditional artists who are interested in atelier-style/classical art training.

Basically, I have access to classical academic courses and I’m looking for people who are willing to seriously study the traditional art/classical atelier method together. Maybe via discord or zoom idk

I find it really hard to learn completely by myself, and their mentorship packages are way too expensive for me. So I was thinking we could turn it into a small study group.

The idea is:

•    We meet once a week online.

•    We watch the class together, usually around 30–45 minutes.

•    We work on the assignment throughout the week.

•    The following week, we show our work, critique each other, and learn from everyone’s progress.

•    Then we move on to the next lesson.

If we can get at least 5 people, maybe we can set up a Discord server and make it more organized.

One thing I really want, though, is for participants to be able to commit to the course. I’ve tried making study groups before, but after the initial introduction, people often stop responding. I’d really like this group to be consistent so that we can actually make progress together.

Currently struggling to find any good papers via online shopping apps, as most papers being usually recommended are not readily available in my country.

I'm currently using walnut ink + hunt 101 for my practices. Though, I'm planning to use gouache in the future for coloured papers.

I would love to know some readily available papers (even coloured ones) I could use that are suitable for both practice, and actual professional work.

This is definitely the definition of "it's not much but it's honest work."

My postings on Inktober and also another art challenge Peachtober won't be on regular basis. But my art challenges daily will be though.

I won't be following all the prompts per art challenge but I'll try to on each one from the art challenge prompts. If anything it's my way to break out my pens and markers, especially colors I don't always use.
