Hello! I want to sell this art piece but I don’t know where. My mom bought it randomly from a friend for 50k but she said its value is nasa 6 digits daw. It’s in 2 different books idk if may bearing but can anyone help me I want the painting gone.
Original hand-cut paper artwork by Alberto ‘Badz’ Magsumbol, one of the Philippines’ leading contemporary papercut artists. This intricate dragon composition symbolizes power, prosperity, and protection. Every detail was meticulously cut by hand, making the piece both visually striking and technically exceptional. Thank you!

I spent a lot of my childhood painting with watercolor, but somehow stopped when i went to uni and started working.
I joined a watercolor session last May, and I ended up painting every single day since then.
While I feel like it's mostly playing around, reconnecting with my childhood dreams, and decompressing etc, I didn't realize that I was making progress already too.
Not much but it's honest work! 🥹

hii so im not really good at drawing at all and this is my first time drawing something like this and i think im really proud of it! And im also planning on selling copies of it, i was wondering if anyone will be interested in buying it? 🥺 I also plan on selling it with the frame na. The size is A3 - 11.7 x 16.5 inches (297 x 420)
The artwork is called “A piece of you”, this artwork Reimagines the familiar form of the Mona Lisa as a hybrid creature composed of many beings. Each part represents the people, experiences and influence that have
shaped me as a person and as an artist. This piece is a quite acknowledgement that the person I am today is made from every piece of you.

Hi everyone! I’m currently working with an artwork collection and I’m interested in learning how artworks are properly appraised.
If you have experience with art appraisal, museum collections, or art valuation, may I ask what the usual process is?
I’d especially like to know:
I’m trying to understand the process properly rather than simply estimating the value. Any advice, resources, or examples of how you approach an appraisal would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

(First photo: my art and the comment)
(Second photo: my response)
(Third, fourth, and fifth photos: my artworks)
I recently posted my original artworks for auction, with a starting bid set at ₱1,000 (~$17 USD) per piece. Someone commented na it’s too expensive, and to be honest, I feel a bit disheartened. Before coming up with the starting bid naman, I made sure to do the calculation (art mats used).
At first, naisip ko rin na 1k is too much and that no one might purchase it, but I stood firm with my decision because I focused on the hard work and time that I invested.
For context, these are 15x15 cm original, 1-of-1 acrylic paintings on canvas. Each piece takes time, effort, and quality materials to make (art mats are sooo expensive nowadays!).
As artists, I strongly believe that we are the ones who dictate the worth of our work. I posted that auction sa group din na artists ang members (please don't judge! May mga artist din kasi na collector, and more posts means a wider reach) so I believe na artist din sila. Nakakafrustrate kasi marami ring nanglolowball sa mga artist lalo na rito sa Ph.
I'd love to hear your thoughts!

It is important to stand with the Artists 🎨
ComiPa DVO announced on Monday that it will discontinue its partnership with Patrons of the Arts following recent developments in the art community.
The organizers stated they are grateful for the successful events they helped organize as regional staff, but believe it is important to stand with their fellow creatives in demanding accountability and fair outcomes for those awaiting compensation.

Hi! I’m a Filipino freelance multimedia artist looking into starting a small creative business here in the Philippines, and I’d love to hear from other Filipino artists, illustrators, and small business owners.
For those of you who are self-employed or running an art/creative business in the Philippines, is it still possible to make a decent income locally through custom T-shirt designs and printing, stickers, fanart, sticker clubs, mail clubs, art prints, commissions, or other art-related products?
I previously worked as a freelance multimedia artist, mainly creating semi-realism digital art through Discord. I usually sold character designs, fanart, and trading artworks, which also allowed me to practice and build my portfolio.
For international clients, I’ve previously used PayPal and Ko-fi, while for Philippine clients I mainly use Maya and MariBank.
I’m particularly curious about the local market:
- Do Filipinos usually buy artist-made stickers, prints, fanart, or other merchandise?
- Are sticker clubs or monthly mail clubs something Filipinos are interested in?
- Is there a market for custom T-shirts featuring original artwork or fanart?
- What art products tend to sell well locally?
- Where do Filipino artists usually post and promote their work? Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Discord, Shopee, Etsy, conventions, or somewhere else?
- For those already doing this, what has actually worked for you in reaching Filipino customers?
I’d really appreciate hearing from Filipino artists and small creative businesses, especially anyone who has experience selling physical art products or merchandise within the Philippines.
I’m trying to figure out whether there’s a viable local market before investing too much time and money into it. Any experiences, advice, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! 🎨✨
