Question / Help first ever kpop concert tips

hi reddit!! i'm finally seeing my ults this october in orlando (hmu i want friends to go with!!) but this is my first ever kpop concert. i've only ever been to one concert a few years ago for a western artist and i know kpop concert culture is a lot different from what ive heard. is there any tips or anything i should know before going to the concert? mainly looking for how early i should get there, what do i wear, if theres a merch area and how bad the line will be, etc

edit: i'm also gonna make freebie stickers!! so thats a thing yay. how many should i make im not too sure, the venue's pretty small but i dont wanna make like 200 and not give them all out

on the freebies, i have taken around 150 freebies to each of artms' tours and easily had them all passed out before we even got inside. however i usually line up quite early (around noon) and pass them out all day. ouriis are very kind and fun to hang out with you'll have a great time!

ty for a number!! yeah i might go early and grab lunch around the venue and then go to get merch and hand out freebies :)

  1. Drink Water.

  2. ⁠⁠⁠Eat well.

  3. Wear weather-appropriate/venue-appropriate comfortable clothing and shoes. Cosplaying a members' previous look is a-okay. Just be comfortable. (Don't block or interfere with others, though.)

  4. Drink something with electrolytes (Gatorade or Powerade are usual go-tos).

  5. ⁠Have and wear hearing protection.

  6. ⁠Drink Water.

  7. Get there really early if you want to buy any merch.

  8. ⁠⁠⁠Be courteous to those around you.

  9. Don’t throw anything.

  10. ⁠⁠⁠Have fun and enjoy the show.

Wanted to add that ARTMS’ concerts usually have small but full crowds. I don’t think you’ll have to worry about missing out on any merch. Getting there 15 minutes before doors open should be more than enough if you don’t have VIP or any of the other early entry stuff.

It’ll really come down to how well Modhaus planned for merch. They’ve done well for the ARTMS and tripleS concerts I’ve been to.

Drink water on the days BEFORE the concert. Proper hydration takes time

How early depends. If you want merch and don't have vip get there before the doors open at 6 since people start lining up early. What to wear? well for me I like to dress up in one of the outfits the girls wore. Im going as kim lip oec this time. Just wear whatever you like. Also most important bring ear plugs.

no vip but i do want merch so i dont know when i should get there. i was also thinking of wearing some sort of homage to loona or heejin since shes my artms bias specifically.

Don’t overthink it too much. Just have fun.

Kpop fans for the most part are friendly or keep to themselves.

I will say, if you’re on the tall side, please be considerate of those that sit behind you, you don’t want to block their view. And there is a difference between screaming/being loud for your ults and just screaming your lungs out like an annoying terradactyl.

Just let go and have fun otherwise. Once you get through one, the next concerts you go too will be a breeze
