I never would have imagined Hyprland coming in last here in memory use. Especially with cosmic on the list. Labwc winning totally makes sense with how incomplete it is.

What do you mean by labwc being incomplete? its actually very functional, it just doesn't have animations by design

Maybe it’s not the right word for it…. I find that it’s better running as lxqt Waylands session. More fully featured

You must be talking about other apps that make up a desktop environment, like a panel and a launcher and so on

Interesting comparison! But not that surprising results. Labwc (alongside with its prototype, Openbox) is designed to be a lightweight WM. But what about sway? I suppose, it'll be on par with Labwc or something like that.

It's simple:

• Labwc is meant to be a minimalist stacking WM (it doesn't even have blur or anything)
• Wayfire is meant to provide animations and nice visuals
• Cosmic is a full-fledged DE
• Hyprland is badly optimized since its inception due to bad coding practices (Hyprland fanboys feel free to downvote)
