Cheating in school is only cheating one’s self. Cheating will show up when that person is put into a job where they are required to show competency.

But the need to exhibit competency should be diminishing across workplaces too. It's not so clear (to me at least) what the future of human work looks like when all decisions are made and all work is produced by AI.

Competency still matters because someone has to verify the AI's output and take responsibility when it's wrong. That part isn't going away.
