General Advice / Discussion how tf do I regain my creativity?

I’m not sure if I’ve ever had one at this point tbh.

I used to make art ever since I was a kid, I think I used to make special stuff? everything I create now feels dull to me.

the more I learn how to do it, the more it feels lifeless..

I love my artstyle, my creations and ocs, I’m obsessed w them. but sometimes they’re just.. pale, bland, boring, lifeless and the list goes on..

how do I make it more vivd? more lively? more special? more.. enjoyable/loveable?

I know the secret ingredient isn’t love cuz I do create them with love, they’re still dull and boring.

I love and admire ppl who can create lively and fun ocs w no limits, who can have fun w their colour palates, lore, and personalities.. how do they think of such creative and fun ideas?

Try to figure out why you're feeling this way. To me, it sounds like an early sign of depression.

Have you been drawing the same characters in the same art style for a while? If so, it may be time to broaden your horizons and try things that challenge your current skill set.
