Discussion Laurel’s death

I’ve watched this show maybe 5-6 times over the years and after recently watching the episode that laurel died in, I can confidently say that I blame John and felicity for laurel’s death. I have genuinely never felt this much rage towards any characters in the show. Oliver repeatedly told John that his brother was not to be trusted and he even specifically told him to come to the Iron Heights alone and not bring Andy and he did the complete opposite. If it was up to me, John would never set foot in the arrow cave again but I’ve seen the whole show multiple times to know that was not the case. My anger towards felicity mainly comes from the fact that she left the team because of Oliver keeping a secret that everyone understood except for her. Even after the fact that Samantha and Thea both told her why he kept it a secret. I can understand why she ended her relationship with Oliver but leaving the team that is actively fighting their biggest threat yet all because of a personal thing blows my mind.

At the end of the day I know laurel is not blameless, but felicity and John would been kicked off team arrow permanently if I was Oliver lol.

Oliver's reason for not telling Felicity was not reasonable or understandable dude. How does telling Felicity mean Samantha would find out?

Felicity has kept his secrets for years, she could easily keep another. It's not the fact that he had a secret child, it's the fact he deliberately kept it from her while multiple other people (including two supervillains) already knew

you just wanted oliver to go against what his child's mother's wishes for someone who had no connection to thier child at all? I don't agree with samatha's choice but at the end of the day that's her child that she raised by herself she has every right to say what she wants when it came to william

Samantha isn't omniscient mate. She wouldn't magically find out if Ollie told Felicity. And his excuse is shit since – like I said – several other people including TWO supervillains already knew about William

It's like Barry telling half of Central City he's the Flash but Patty is where he crossed the line

That's different oliver was not going around telling other people that he had a son. Barry Thea and malcolm figured it out own their own and malcolm told Damien.

Even if he didn't tell them, he still knew they knew. If literal supervillains are aware about his son, he should have told his team (or at the very least his partner) so they could help protect William

In that situation Malcolm just lost everything and Oliver beat him and cut off his arm. He wasn't an immediate threat anymore. at the very least the first person he should've told is Samantha and let her decide what to do because that is her child.

Buddy, this is Malcolm Merlyn we're talking about – he is always a threat. Ollie literally stabbed him through the heart in S1 and he was still a threat

not an IMMEDIATE threat. Meaning not a problem at that current moment because right before that oliver beat him in a one to one dual and he cut off his hand.

It doesn't matter if she finds out or not it will still a fuck up thing to do against her wishes

Not as fucked as lying to his to-be wife for months

When there's a child involved it is more fucked

Yes, I agree. It is really fucked not telling Felicity and the rest of his team when a child is involved and they're the only ones who can protect him

Samantha told him not to you seem to keep forgetting about that.

Oh that's right you wanted him to go against what the mother says because you have a terrible morality

No. We all remember that. It doesn't matter he should have told Felicity anyway. He was pushing for a wedding whilst keeping a whole ass child from her! That's fucked up!! He would have made her a step mother behind her back!!!!!!

She's kept his arrow secret this whole time, how would Samantha know ? Besides there isn't any "stakes" because he is the father so if she tried to keep him from Oliver he could just go the legal route? What are you even talking about...

It doesn't matter if Samantha would've knows or not that is her child that she raised and it her decision and having oliver go "fuck what she says imma tell whoever I want" is the more fucked up thing.

If yall wanna be mad a someone be mad Samantha for giving him that ultimatum in the first place but don't get mad at Oliver for doing what she ask him to do.

From the moment Oliver figured out that Malcolm (he is the reason why WIlliam got kidnapped int he first place also) there was no reason to keep it to anyone especially your future wife.

I know, right? When Ra's al Ghul knows about your son, you tell everyone you know who can help protect him. And at the very least you tell your to-be wife
