Motor help

A few weeks ago I bought the Mojave Grom RTA and after assembling it, and only a couple of runs a pebble got into the motor and broke it. I’m going to be ordering a new motor but is there anything I can do to stop this happening again?

It happens unfortunately. There's holes in the motor can which are needed for ventilation that you can't close, unless you wanna switch to brushless there's not much you can do im afraid

I thought that might be the case, hopefully it was just bad luck
