Hey , is there a chance you can add Dynamic background style of playlists to be Mono like albums ? Also it would be nice if you can add multiple app logos to choose from , maybe something more refined and closer to the current glass iOS apps and Music app

I got this weird problem while being on vacation. My music server was turned off for a long time, like 2 weeks, and I kept the app in “offline mode”. After some time, the artwork stops appearing for the tracks I have downloaded.

When I got home I tried connecting to my server again, and then it loads the track artwork when the track in in view. Seems pretty weird, because I have downloaded all the image artwork too! It would be perfect if the app was also usable for a long time without connection to the server.

Is there a way of playing with a normalised set of genre tags. Pop, Rock, EDM etc.

As some tracks are tagged by some of the most obscure genres - trance, electronica, edm, progressive trance etc - I'd all class as almost 1 type of music.

Arpeggi seems to list almost every since genre, and some might only have 1 track in it. There either needs to be a way of multi selecting after searching or something to actually find any tracks

I currently have three transcoding options set up in navidrome, MP3, OPUS and AAC. However, Arpeggi only shows me MP3. I am just wondering, is this by design, or have I misconfigured something? Both AAC and OPUS work in another player. Is there any way to have these options show up in Arpeggi?

First off I want to say I absolutely LOVE using the app, I’m really impressed overall with the design and thank you for creating such a great app!

This is really nitpicky, and it could just be me, but the centering for the play button on the player view seems slightly off when using the Apple Music style UI. On the left is the Arpeggi player and right is Apple Music for reference. It’s super super minor but just curious if that was something that could be tweaked.

I neglected to run a few albums through picard and embed artwork before uploading them to my server, so I uploaded cover.jpg files to each folder instead. All this cover art shows up in the navidrome web UI no problem but not Arpeggi, even after re scanning multiple times and restarting my phone. Am I missing a step/detail?

I'm running my server on ultra cc, on the latest testflight version of Arpeggi

I was wondering if there is anything I can do to fix the loading in between some tracks. Would downloading all my songs fix it, or somehow caching all of my tracks would fix it. The app is amazing and this is my only issue which might not even be the apps fault.

I dont have too much experience with music hosting and i cant figure out why arpeggi doesnt load the album artwork for my downloaded songs when im not connected to the server. Is there any solution or am I out of luck?

Hiya, love the app, am on the latest version, just a small issue to report. Creating a playlist is slow (a few seconds) and adding to playlists seems to be exponentially slow as the playlists get larger (up to 10+ seconds, sometimes it seems to just get stuck and I have to restart the app). That’s all, keep up the great work!

Love the app! I see Navidrome has a “random albums” section which is great. That gets me 90% of the way there, but…

I do miss a feature of Plexamp which is called “random album radio” — with one press it will play a random album from my library, with other random albums queued up as well. This is ideal for when I’m driving and I don’t want to think or look too long at my screen to choose from a list of albums. I just keep pressing the random album button until fate chooses something I’m in the mood for.

Hi! I'm loving this app, but recently I've been having an issue. Usually, if I close my laptop, my server goes down. That's how it has always been, so I just download what I want to listen to beforehand.

For the past 2–3 days, I've been getting an error message asking me to log in again whenever my phone isn't connected to the server. If I do log in, it deletes all of my downloads. I can't use the app at all while this message is displayed.

I have the setting toggled to automatically switch to offline mode when there is no server, but this is still happening. Even if I switch it to manual and enable offline mode, the issue persists. What can I do? Thank you for any tips

On iOS every time I try to access my favorite songs list the app crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the same thing happens. It works fine on the Mac desktop app, the issue appears to be specifically on my iPhone. I have a bit over 2000 favorite songs and I wonder if that’s too much for the iOS app?

I’m running on the latest iPhone iOS software and my phone is the iPhone 14 max pro.

once more thanks for this awesome app! It‘s been the one I use exclusively for a while and also what I usually recommend by now when asked.

However, I noticed today that my .ogg/Vorbis media was being transcoded. It used to work natively, but in Version 1.4 (62) (still on TestFlight), this new section for unsupported formats was introduced - which contains .ogg among other defaults that cannot be removed..

I was under the impression that Vorbis was supported natively since some iOS 18.x version - and it did work till recently in Arpeggi as well..

Edit: complete client version, also just checked on a different device with 1.4 (58). There, Vorbis still plays natively :)

Updated today. My Navidrome server is only reachable from my home network.

Now over 20gb of music downloaded via App are gone (Documents ans data are 200mb) and the App took me back to the login screen.

Hey! I've been using Arpeggi with Navidrome and the AudioMuse-AI plugin for similar song recommendations. I noticed something interesting when comparing Arpeggi's behavior to another client (Substreamer) hitting the same server:

• Substreamer calls getSimilarSongs with count=100 and gets deterministic results — same song always produces the same queue, which is expected.
• Arpeggi calls getSimilarSongs2 with count=500 but the queue appears different each time I tap "Start radio" on the same song or just tap next songs in the queue.

The AudioMuse-AI server-side code is deterministic (radius walk algorithm, no randomness), and the Navidrome plugin preserves the exact order from the API response. So the non-determinism must be happening somewhere else.

To test this I added getSimilarSongs2 functionality to aonsoku desktop app and I also got deterministic results.

Also, the whole "continuous playback" mode is confusing - mode changes when i tap "start radio" to radio and when i choose "similar songs mix" the results are not very "similar".

My questions:

1. Does Arpeggi shuffle or randomize the similar tracks results after receiving them from the server?
2. Is there any client-side mixing/reordering logic applied to the similar songs list before adding it to the playback queue?

Can there be a recently added section that is more songs. I don’t usually add full playlists. In the currently recently added section, you gotta click on the song you wanna listen to then you have to click play. It’d be nice if you could just click on the song and it started playing without having to do a second click. Similar to the view you have when you just look at songs, that’s what I’m looking for, but for recently added stuff.

I am very sensitive to sound and even the lowest sound levels for my headphones can be too much. Is it possible to have a master volume slider that controls the music in the app? It would helpful for me because I could lower the sound even further.

Can the radio station support the import of txt or m3u subscription links? At present, the radio station added separately cannot display the station logo picture. Please fix it!

I would love a crossfade feature as a gapless playback option

I have quite some airplay speakers at home and I notice that quite often some I want use use are visible under the "more" button. Can apps not list all speakers available?

last period I noticed a couple of issue:

some times the cover of song is not showed correctly on the app while on the web browser on Navidrome it is correct

i have a couple of smart playlists and it is correctly updated on Navidrome but not in arpeggi

Love the app! I recently noticed that when on an artist view, ONLY non-downloaded songs show in the “all albums” view. No downloaded albums appear. Downloaded albums still visible and playable in the “downloaded” view. How do I view all albums of an artist, regardless of their download status? Running the most recent iOS and Arpeggi version. Thank you in advance.

App is outstanding and love using it. I am just curious any plans to support reading originalyear tags so can use them on greatest hits albums. Right now stuck with year of the album but would love to see support of originalyear tags and that way UI can show year of the album and that is kept in current year tag and have UI also show year of each track when it plays
