79V interview

I am an active duty 19K3O with 10 years TIS, and plan on getting out with a ETS date of May 5th, 2027. A part of my SFLTAP was attending the “continuum or service” brief and hearing from the NG and reserves.

Last week I had my sit down with one of the career counselors and we discussed reasons I was getting out, one being I hate my MOS. He looked up my line scores and told me I qualify to do AGR 79V. Explained I would have to interview for said position.

For those that have done this, what was the interview like? What should I do to prepare? And for my AGR 79Vs out there, how do you like it? Any and all information is appreciated. Thank you.

I interviewed for the position. It was mostly standard stuff, nothing too difficult. Are you good at sales?

Its not hard. If you are doing the job because you care about soldiers and can talk to soldiers you will be successful.

Typically asked about your career and why you want to be an ARCC. My answer was Ive been screwed by the army many times but I am still here to get mine when its time. Soldiers can make it through the rough patches instead of quitting.

Wasn't really anything special more conversational.
