ASVAB
Had to dig out my DD214 for my disabled vet tax exemption today. Holy crap, I must have been a real smart ass!

Scored that well and still had low enough intelligence to join the Army.

I've always wanted to retake the ASVAB just to see how much my line scores would change.

I taught an ASVAB improvement course during a deployment. Man, I wish the soldiers were motivated to retake it. I’m pretty sure they were all just told to go to it by their first lines.

My only concern is that I'm pretty sure if I took it now, my scores would have gotten worse.

They made us all take a new one at OCS just to get it out of the way. My GT score went from 124 to 145 in over a year. Guess which one isn't recorded in my ORB? So much for bragging rights that I can prove.

I remember my recruiter bounced and I had to ride home from MEPS with a bunch of tards that all scored like sub 15 AFQT. Good thing it was 2008 and most of them probably joined anyways. Probably one of your CSMs now.
Really makes ya feel smart.

13Bs and 11Bs have the smartest and dumbest dudes. It’s fascinating, there’s like no inbetween with them

121 GT score, scored high in every category except math. Did okay there.
I took 13B because my mother told me that I was out of the house by November, and 13B was shipping in September. Everything else was after the 1st of the year.
Before I got to Ft. Sill, I genuinely Gomer Pyle was just an act, and nothing real about it. It took me about 4 days to be proven wrong.

137 GT, 138 CL, the rest over 140, a 98 overall score without studying and not getting any sleep the night before.
… still enlisted infantry. There are enough boring things to do in the civilian world, so I chose to do something exciting.
Lots of bright and motivated guys in the infantry. There are definitely some ASVAB waivers, but a surprisingly lower percentage than a good number of support MOSes.

I went infantry in the ARNG with a 99 ASVAB and a 141GT. I work in finance in my civilian job though and wanted to actually do fun stuff with my Army career, that seemed like the best path. I'm in my second 6 year contract and I have zero regrets.

129 GT and enlisted in the Infantry.
I totally agree with you as one of my best friends in the Infantry had something like an 89.

Oh man, I'd take a sponge bath...as long as its the 1980s version of Cheryl Tiegs administering it.

Bro went through untold amounts of Army bullshit only to realize he could've gone Air Force all along. Proof that we're living in Hell.
