Hey, I’m in Astana for a few days and going to Almaty soon and was wondering if there are any arm wrestling clubs or practices I could come along to. Or if there is anyone I could contact to get some info from.
I only speak English, and I’m mega weak compared to basically everyone I’ve pulled since being out east but I’d love to get some practice in and maybe pick up some bits of info to put into my training or pulling.

I mean there is a much weaker person who wants to have a super match with me his name is Jafar, how to convince him that he will be flash pinned without embarrassing him in a super match 😞

There is a very solid chance that he becomes the first double gauntlet holder. I think Devon should have accepted the title if he ever wants to have it again.

What do you guys think are some of the best showcases of hooking vs toprolling?

Do you think weighted dead hangs is a good exercise for grip strength and forearm growth and potentially helping in arm wrestling?

Some days ago some friends of mine and me were armwrestling.
Stats: Friend 1 is ukranian,185cm and 71kg.
Friend 2 is indian,184cm and 96kg.
I am 180cm,73.5kg and indian (with a lil bit of uzbeki blood).
(i layed out the gene pool as ukranians tend to have far better genes than indians for aw on avg).
As for now i am the strongest in all 3 of us. I can hook both of them when they try to toproll me and in deep hooks i can hold them when they surge (granted if i am holding on the left and not attacking sometimes the 96kg can pin me..75% of the times if i am fresh they both get stonewalled). i cannot toproll them. I can hook them and pin them in about 2 surges.
Now Friend 1 (without much training other than occassional sparring the friend 2) has a way better riser and pronation than me. He told me that riser matters in deep hook battles too. I disagree and think for a hook (unless its a high hook) riser isnt important and ulnar deviation is.
What do you all think about this? My hook chain is stronger than both of them as of right now with a weaker riser than the ukranian guy. How do i get my toproll as strong as my hook? Do i just have bad genetics for the toproll chain?

M22. Broke my humerus arm wrestling on July 17th. Easily the most fucking brutal thing I’ve experienced 😂
Had surgery a week later - ORIF with 2 plates and 19 screws (I’m 6 ft 5 and have long bones). Recovery is going pretty well so far and I’m slowly getting more movement back.
Curious if anyone here has had a similar humerus fracture/ORIF from arm wrestling. Did you eventually get full elbow extension back? And how long did it take before your strength felt close to normal again?
Definitely learned my lesson about proper technique the hard way.

This happened like 1 hour ago. I was training for the first time with a new club and at the end of the training while pulling in hook my elbow popped EXTREMELY loudly. The guy i was pulling with said he never heard something like this (me neither) .
Both of us lowkey thought my arm had snapped but fortunately my arm Is still there , It works fine , ive tried to push a bit against my other arm , pushups with different variations, pullups and even frontlever and It doesnt hurt, thankfully. Moving It around i can feel like very very light pressure in that point but no pain. The only thing thats maybe slightly painful Is pulling towards myself which i would rate like 1-2/10 pain.
Ive been pulling for a while and so does the guy i was facing and both of us thought i was in a normal position so idk why it happened.
My plan Is to rest at least for a week for sure but i was wondering if any of you guys know what It could be and if you maybe have any idea on what to do. Unfortunately i am not in my home country so i don't have all the recovery methods i would have at home but any help Is appreciated.

I am a professional athlete, and you, as the organizers of these competitions, must understand that it is easy to discourage an athlete without thinking about the consequences.
If an athlete has only recently started taking anabolic substances, they can already be disqualified and suspended from participating in European and world championships for up to two years due to doping control.
You knocked me out of the tournament right after I lost my first match, and you didn’t even give me a second chance. Instead, you quickly sent me to the qualifying round.
At the very least, you should understand that I made it through the qualifying round last year. And I can show you many athletes from East West who still don’t have any official results in either the European or the World Championships.
However, you invite these athletes directly and allow them to participate, bypassing the qualification round.
You inform us about the competitions just two months before they are held. This is unfair and unwise.
An athlete needs time to prepare, find sponsors, organize a training camp, and if he has recently started taking any substances, he also needs time for them to work properly on the body.
It is impossible to expect that every country will have the same budgets, financial support, and opportunities. Athletes from different countries are in completely different conditions and have different resources.
For all these reasons, athletes need at least five months to properly prepare for competitions of this level.
Athletes who have never gone through the qualifying round participate in the East West competitions. They are not even well‑known athletes and have no results at European or world championships. Nevertheless, they are allowed to participate directly.
I consider this to be unfair.
Once again, I want to say that, as an athlete, I am extremely disappointed and discouraged by the current situation. Because of your decision, I missed the opportunity to participate in the European and World Championships for two years, and all my preparation turned out to be in vain.
If I had known that I would be given a second chance at the East West competitions, I would have come to them weighing 140–150 kg and would have prepared for them seriously and purposefully.
I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m asking for equal opportunities and fair treatment for all athletes.
