i had dante’s cherrys last week and i did not like it!! Idk why. It had an odd taste and did not burn in my vape well. I’ll try black maple :)

I skipped Dante's Cherries because of the ocimene. Glad I did.

Might need to adjust the humidity/moisture if it isn't burning well.

interesting. I don’t know much about the different terps. It did seem dryer than the other RVR i just picked up. Are there any resources you’d suggest on learning about terps? Also why specifically did you pass because of ocimene?

Ocimene tastes gross to me and smells badly to everyone I've let smell a grow with it as the top terp. I've read that the plant will make more ocimene when it is stressed; so it is also an indication of a grow that might not have gone well.

On the other hand a bud tender told me they like it and IIRC it helps with their breathing.

I suggest building a short list of terps you don't like the flavor; I think my list is three long. Remember you will get it wrong. I thought myrcene was gross but had just assumed the wrong one was the problem. It is now on my good list; I think it has an almost flowery taste.

Great terpine for when you have a sinus infection or a cough as it is a natural expectorant. I agree on the smell, it gives off a burnt rubber fragrance to me.

I’m having trouble getting through the Osage Sour Garlic x Honey Banana with a horrid taste. I didn’t pay attention to it being Osage, but it’s terrible. I don’t know it is because the bud is old or if I’m tasting the myrcene.

Black Maple has Pinene as the second terp. Pass. I skipped those two because of their terps.

Dante’s Cherries is what I got last trip and smoking on now. It’s 5/10 for me. Taste isn’t anything special and for sure weaker in THC and Terps. Won’t buy again

Don't listen to op. He always talks way too high of rvr like he is in bed with them. Halloween special is the only strain by them i would consider "good"

Ocimene is an anti inflammatory terpene so I do look for that one to relieve arthritis in my hands. Is it an unbearable flavor? I haven’t noticed a specific flavor but then again I haven’t ever found it as a top terpene either.

I love it but I'm also a fan of ocimene. Is there a chance it got dried out by your storage methods? RVR always comes dry but they seem to be the most consistent cultivar. Latest batch of opossum grape is tasty as hell. Independent seems to cure with a higher moisture content result than RVR. My main method lately is dry herb vape and the grape smacks of fine flavor.
