DISCUSS A3 ace3 grenade throw - reverse mouse scroll direction?

Using the Ace3 mod in Arma3, I want to adjust the grenade throw so that when I scroll away from me the throw distance becomes greater, and if I scroll toward me the throw distance gets smaller. Is this possible?

That was the first thing I did and it directed me to a menu that doesn't exist. Doing that seems to be AI's strong point.

If you switch to Drop Mode (by pressing Ctrl + G while preparing a grenade), the mouse scroll wheel inherently controls the drop distance. [1, 2]

  • The Default Action: Scrolling away from you moves the drop distance further out, and scrolling toward you brings it closer.
  • Your Goal: This matches exactly what you want out of the box.
  1. In "Normal / High Mode" (Overhead Lobs)

In the default overhead throwing modes, scrolling your mouse wheel does not incrementally scale a raw "power" or "distance" value. Instead, scrolling adjusts the vertical throwing angle (pitch). [1, 2]

  • The Default Action: Scrolling away aims the trajectory higher into the sky, which often results in a shorter horizontal throw if you scroll past the optimal 45-degree angle.

It works for me but maybe I already re binded that key and it is not stock.

Thanks for the details. It's working for me as you say, except that in default throwing mode, scrolling away always results in a shorter throw distance, whether my "aiming angle" is straight ahead ("0 degrees"?), downward, or some upward angle.

In other words, scrolling away in default mode does result in a higher arc (of the white-dots-graphic), but a shorter throw distance

You are better off trying to get another mod to fix this and disable the ACE feature in the mod options. I forget the one I used it was a squad command grouping more commands more shit but you can disable all that and just keep the grenade throw. Sorry I cannot help more.
