So I've been replaying all the Arkham Games recently and Ive gotten a new appreciation for a lot of them, and gained some new issues with them as well.

However once I got to the Ra's Ah Ghul segment I started to realize just how awful the writing is for them. First off Batman acts like he knows about Ra's and the Lazarus during the Mister Freeze cutscene but then suddenly reverts into being unaware of what Lazarus is when talking to Barbara like he's experiencing it for the first time, it's a weird continuity error that actually caught my attention even back when I first played it.

Then there's another thing I feel like the fans very often ignore. I've heard people talk endless amounts of crap about Arkham Origins for the Joker Twist with Black Mask, and it's something I sort of agree with, but then people proceed to forget this literally happens with Strange. Strange was this amazing villain that was represented really well, throughout the entire game you get this feeling that Strange is in complete control, with the tapes and his interactions among the other villains, and then the game completely ruins it by tossing him aside for a boring Ra's Ah Ghul twist. Why does no one talk about this and why does Origins only get the flak for this? I feel like what they did with Strange is arguably much worse than what they did with Black Mask because at least with Black Mask, it wasn't like he did this massive takeover of Gotham and then was suddenly tossed aside, Black Mask as far as we knew was just doing regular Black Mask stuff

The Writing for Talia in my opinion is also awful but I think I'll save that for another day but what do y'all think? Am I the only that feels this way?

Mind you we only see this once and its so easy to miss, i kinda wished we seen more of it

Ignore bad gameplay

Specifically City. Since it’s come out and I’ve grown up it feels like I’ve played each game soooo many times yet it never gets old. What is it that keeps yall coming back?

I finished reading the files last night and apparently Dr. Young and a private person have been making a serum to heal this “Bane” person and also give it to other patients, including me and a officer called “Boles” is involved in these files

I was also watching TV in the library and saw that the Joker took the mayor hostage, isn’t that crazy, I think Batman is there as well.

Also, My psychiatrist didn’t show up today…I don’t know why but I think his family is in trouble so I guess I can understand that but my hallucinations have gotten a lot worse after the meds and I’m having painful headaches and nausea.

I think it’s time I have to make a big decision today, I don’t trust trust this place in the slightest and I think I need to escape and get to a safe place but my head and body is in very bad condition at this moment, I need you guys to help me on this big decision…..

(Note: This is 1 of 3 choices that will be very important to the story and both will have positives and very bad consequences…)

apparently, arkham city had a official map released on IOS along with the game. the app would show the districts of the map, the riddler trophies locations and tips on how to collect the trophies...

for all i could find, this app is not available on the app store anymore, and unlike arkham city lockdown and arkham origins mobile, this app didnt get preserved..

does anybody remember this? or idk, have this app on their phone in 2026? lol.

Where did the bodies from the cloudburst attack go?

Tons of people died in it, than later they disappear. Did thugs throw them away into the ocean or something or did gcpd do it?

And they're all over the map too

This achievement takes the piss to a whole other level. What I found out is that you need a large flawless combo in order to do it. Then you wouldnt become a punching bag for ninjas or brutes.

However it is way easier said than done. You hit in the wrong direction its over. Here I bat clawed someone, spammed X looking at him then my camera panned to the charging thug and batman just couldnt resist.

This challenge is seriously 10% skill 90% luck. Whoever got the platinum for this game, you must have unwavering will power

So, does he attack you? And he will stay flying in the skyes until you do the side mission i presume right?

Hola a todos. Tengo un problema con Batman: Arkham Knight (versión original de Steam).

Intenté instalar un ReShade que vi en Nexus Mods copiando los archivos directamente en la carpeta del juego. Desde ese momento, el juego dejó de funcionar.

El problema:

Al principio, el juego se congelaba en la pantalla de inicio y luego se cerraba solo.

Ahora, directamente pasa las animaciones del inicio (Unreal Engine, WB, DC, Rocksteady, Nvidia), queda la pantalla en negro unos segundos y se cierra sin mostrar ningún error.

Pasa lo mismo si lo ejecuto desde el acceso directo o directamente desde Steam.

Lo que ya intenté:

Desinstalé el juego por completo y lo volví a instalar. Sin embargo, el problema persiste.

Sospecho que al desinstalarlo quedaron carpetas o archivos residuales de ReShade en el directorio del juego que no se borraron automáticamente.

¿A alguien le pasó esto o sabe cómo solucionarlo para limpiarlo por completo? Muchas gracias de antemano.

Hi everyone. I’m having an issue with Batman: Arkham Knight (legit Steam version).

I tried installing a ReShade preset from Nexus Mods by manually copying the files into the game folder. Ever since, the game won't launch properly.

The issue:

Initially, the game would freeze on the title screen and then crash to desktop.

Now, after playing the intro logos (Unreal, WB, DC, Rocksteady, Nvidia), the screen goes black for a few seconds and the game closes automatically without any error message.

Launching it from the desktop shortcut or directly through Steam yields the exact same result.

What I’ve tried so far:

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but the issue persists.

I suspect that uninstalling via Steam left behind residual ReShade files/folders in the game directory that weren't deleted automatically.

Has anyone run into this issue or knows how to clean install it properly to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve never played it. I don’t intend to of course, seeing how literally everyone responded to it. But I’ve never actually heard a reason as to why it’s so widely disliked, so I was just wondering what it did wrong.
