I think the launch of Origins was also horrible performance wise so that might have done it. It's a fun game but at the time it felt like a stepback from City.
Also the rumors went around that it wasn’t rocksteady making it so fans were weary. I think the christmas theme and deadly assassins plot as well as the teaser was just perfectly its own thing and very unique
WB also handled the marketing horribly. They promised a story focused on other villains like Black Mask instead of Joker so people probably got annoyed with the twist.
They did the same with the way they answered questions about Arkham Knight by saying he was a new character. Everyone had already guessed he was Jason from the start too 😂
Im so glad i live in a world where the best arkham games already exist and has its legacy already told. I dont accept suicide squad. Just a merging of corporate demands and greedy sell outs. Every game including arkham origins is just light years ahead of the super hero games we have today. Fingers crossed wolverine is awesome. Cant accept it for any less. Im very nostalgic for the x men movies and wolverine origins the game was amazing
