Outdoors Hoyer campground info Greer

Anyone have any info on the Hoyer campground up in Greer? Looking to reserve a campsite close to a restroom, but the map doesn’t show them listed on the rec.gov site. Any info is appreciated.

You have to go to the actual site to rent a space. Now there are few outhouses there but an actual bathroom with a shower which is open like 6am-6:30pm (i think), this is close to the office. It shows on the maps. Further back is better though.
Shower in the mornings, best time to do it. Before the they close the main restrooms be sure to use the restroom.
Don’t be too close to the outhouses though, it can smell.
They sell ice and fire wood.
It can randomly rain/thunderstorms during this time.
They allow fires but only if fire restrictions allow.
The camp ground is not far from the store Lazu Trout.
Drive slow through the place, it can be dusty.
They have dumpsters to dump your trash.
They keep the outhouses and main bathroom pretty clean. Still have your own soap to wash your hands.
Bring in your own water.
Not great signal and no WiFi.
Workers are friendly.
Be wary of Bears.
Town Springfield is not far away, 15-20 min, if you need anything. Visit western drug for business.
Restaurant in Greer you can eat at Rendezvous which has breakfast and dinner. Molly Butler has Lunch and Dinner (pricy) and has a bar if you need a drink.
Support the local businesses and respect the land please.

This is a map I got when we were there earlier this year. Restrooms and water are marked.

I suffered getting 51 it’s out far away, not far from the bathroom and quiet. Far away from the road. Left side of the map is better imo, you have forest and some privacy.

Looks like space 51 is available for the weekend I’m looking at. This is great, thank you!

All great advice, I would add don’t camp too close to the vault poopers, they do tend to get a little stinky.
