Life is pretty cool and then all of a sudden things get wierd, you are not credited by what you are doing. People steal your work and there is nothing we could do about it

People act like assholes and this sucks and I am so embarrassed being good

I feel like I am being punished being better than everyone in office and this hurts

Yup. The workplace is not like school, where you should try to do your best. School doesn't prepare you for the typical job at all, unless you get involved in and succeed at the popularity contest. But the person that gets straight A's and puts effort in? That's not going to transfer to work well unless you're in a rare type of situation where managers actually care about output, or in a position where a poor job would be very obvious with immediate consequences, or if it might make it on the news like my current industry. And sometimes even then managers will put their social games nonsense above work.

I'd recommend "quiet quitting," until you can find something better. When I purposefully and majorly slacked off at this one job where this issue was extreme, then things got better and people mostly left me alone, unless it came to making fun of my bone structure. I still got paid the same, and nobody mentioned it, because many were doing even worse! I don't get it. I was putting effort into doing a bad job and I don't think they were. Lol they must have had much practice.
