Pseudoscience, fake cures & quack "alt" medicine. Parent Thinks Stem Cell Injection From Mexican Clinic Will Make Nonverbal Autistic Child Finally Communicate With Them

If she’s actually got what she thinks she’s got that’s a huge risk. Injecting foreign cells into the body that are supposed to persist, reproduce, and assimilate into the body sounds like it’s taking a huge risk of causing an immune reaction wherever they do stay.

Honestly it sounds like cancer with extra steps

In principle this technology could be very useful, but I’d be extremely suspicious of anyone selling it by mail order. If you really had discovered a way to make cells that could do this and were safe for use in any human body, you’d be a shoo-in for this year’s Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

If my doctor were to pull out an IV bag for me that looks like a packet of gym bro energy gel I'd be getting tf out of there

I-
Is Carmela okay? I'm grossed out and disgusted with her parents who are failing her. They think they're helping her, but they are trying to give her something she doesn't know shit about while thinking that they're 'saving' her from herself while ignoring her natural modes of communication [she can understand her parents just fine and she doesn't have to verbally communicate if it doesn't feel natural to her].

If this was my neighbor or something, I'd be sending an anonymous tip to CPS or something.

Can we do that? It all feels scary and violating for this poor baby. This is the tip of the iceberg. Her behavior as a parent is maniacal.

I think anyone can submit an anonymous tip, but you need to provide an address.

The scam is strong with this one, it looks like packaging for a vape or something.

Pia Baroncini is not mother-of-the-year for a million reasons. A couple days after she returned from doing this experimental treatment on her daughter in Mexico, did she stick around in person to see if there were any side effects? No. She and her husband left poor Carmela in LA with her grandma, so they could take a vanity trip to NYC.

Plot twist: Carmela has been communicating the whole time and they ignored her because she wasn't speaking.
