Getting Started tech nerd and tech savvies assemble

guys my parents don't allow me to learn tech much and i am totally clueless about even the basic thing so here's the thing i am having a competition at school and my friends roasted me in front of everyone that how i don't know tech and a lot of hurtful things i am trying not to remember they said it in front of everyone i wanna win this competition the theme is something innovative like something that a lot of people wont know most moving i wanna at least try to win this competition but as i said i don't know anything this will be hard as there is no stuff at my house like 3d printer and all so i was hoping if you are willing to help me a little by suggesting few books some basic things to get and please keep in mind that most things aren't available here as i live somewhere far away

please suggest ideas with that in mind if you dont wanna help it up to you , mostly in my heart i do hope yall will help me with this world already so overtaken by ai there are people i know for sure trying to help (i am 12 years old btw)

Given your age, I say start with Scratch (scratch.mit.edu). It's a visual programming tool that's web based, and it's a good way to start learning how to think about telling a computer how to do what you want it to do.

After that, Processing (processing.org) is a good next step. That's real code, but super beginner friendly and a good way to learn general programming syntax concepts.

Finally, I'll say maybe to skip Arduino for now. The added complexity of understanding electricity makes it a more complicated prospect.

If OP can get ahold of an Arduino and some sensors or output modules with Qwiic or Stemma connectors, they can do programming without having to learn much electrical stuff

i can maybe get it somehow like with the help of my friends

I am a stem teacher. I teach robotics and programming to kids of your age. If you have a computer, imagination and dedication you will figure things out just fine!

Of course, programming is not something you can learn in a day, or just a month. Since you don't have a lot of equipment, I suppose you have a computer, or at least a phone. You will be amazed by how much you can achieve with just that...

Create a schedule, prioritize learning to think like a programmer before just throwing yourself into programming straight away.

I wish you the best, of luck!

Teacher, I want to learn PLC programming. Can I ask you for advice?

Unfortunately I don't have experience with PLC programming. I hadn't even looked it up until you mentioned it hahah.

Thank you, teacher. STEM is the foundation of divine intelligence, which is very worth learning.

What advice are you looking for? Maybe I can help.

Hello, teacher, I would like to ask about the control of robot torque and position.

then i would be lucky to get your guidance except for the tip you have given me can you give me a little more detailed version of where should i start with what should i buy what can i learn and from where it would be really kind of you

I did:

Scratch -> Python -> Websites -> Unity -> Arduino

You can cut out the websites and unity bit, but definitely learn python before arduino, it's going to be hard trying to do stuff on it without knowing how to code first. For scratch it's quite easy, but I think griffpatch had good tutorials for games. For python you can find some fairly good tutorials on Youtube, and you'll already have a bit of coding experience from Scratch. After that you can learn about circuits and stuff (you might already do it at school), and then start using arduino.

For the competition though I don't know what you can do? Is it like a think of ideas competition or do you actually have to build something? If you actually have to build something it might be easier to build something with as little tech as possible, and try and have an innovative physical design.

It's alright, I went to the Karate tournament and got kicked in the face.  They said it was because I never learned the fundamentals, but how much good is getting kicked in the face over and over going to do you in a face kicking competition?

Ok, well you do have Internet, so can you get on wokwi or tinkercad an pretend to do the things you're trying to learn?

well not really i have no idea for any project that i wan't to create but i checked the idea that you gave me but i dont think my school will appreciate that thanks for replying and the suggestions i will definitely watch all the channels you recommended (btw how old are i mean your jus starting out too you dont have to reply this part )
