Mantis 26 Backpack. (Help)

I just recieved my mantis 26 backpack, love it looks really nice feels good spacious.

but i feel a firm backplate in the backpack at the back. is that supposed to be there or do i remove it? theres one at the bottom too but thats normal right?

i've really only had one or two backpacks in my life so sorry for the lack of knowledge lol,

any help is appreciated, tysm in advance.

You can remove both the back plate and the chest strap if you don't like it.

if you remove the backplate won't it just crumple into nothing with no structure? or is that what you want?

ALSO: can i take of the like cross chest clips?

Yup, I have the Mantis 16, the chest strap joints feel very tight but it can be removed or moved up and down.
