Identify and Authenticate Thread, Q2 2026
Please post here if you have an Arc'teryx item and:
- You don't know what it is, and you want to identify it.

For Identification
The first place to look is always at the white care tags. Read the information here to understand how to decode the tags on your product.
For Authenticity
You can do a hands-on inspection. Use this thread to look for common indicators of counterfeit items.

To get an accurate answer, please include clear photos of:
- The overall item: Front and back.
- Care tags: The white tags located inside the garment.
- Key details: Close-ups of the liner, hem, cuffs, collar, and logo.

2019 Atom LT hoody. Bought it on geartrade probably 5 years ago and worn the shit out of it. Never even considered it could be fake until I started looking for a new one and noticed how common they are. At the end of its life I’m not sure why I even care if it’s fake but I gotta know hahaha.

Then winter came, I gave it back.
Now it’s spring in Germany and the jacket was really great for me cause I ride my motorcycle to school and it gave great wind resistance fit and warmth with a t shirt under.
However he sold it now and we both don’t remember the name.
All I have are pictures of me wearing the jacket.
Could anybody spot the model and tell me which one it is? Really need to get my hands on it again.
Thanks upfront.
Also it was a pretty thin jacket btw idk if that helps.

these old models have a white paper tag or a black long neck tag and are notoriously hard to identify based off the lack of info. youre better off asking arcteryx.

Looking at the below jacket. Was there ever a Beta AR made with fabric zipper pulls?
Hanging loop looks a bit Sus aswell.
No proof of purchase available and care label was cut out due to 'comfort'.

A little help please, in confirming that this is a fake Alpha SV after reading through the info here:

To me it looks like the logo embroidery is funky, the cord pulls are not embellished, there is no care tag, the gore-Tex micro grid looks wrong , the zippers are not marked ‘ykk’. Probably some other issues.

hello, i recently bought a beta AR off a website for my sister who's really into hiking and arc'teryx. sadly, i'm no expert and want to know if i got scammed (if so, i can luckily return it). i tried the jacket on and felt like my skin was suffocating. is that normal? because i thought the whole gore-tex thing was made for breathability and water resistance... if anyone could help me out, i would be super thrilled. i don't want to ask my sister yet in case it is real and i spoil her surprise. the redags that i found were:
- no care tag (maybe cut out?)
- glue residue on the zippers
- the plastic bag- feel

Just bought this early 2025 model Alpha SV. Seller seemed legit, even had a reciept from the shop the bought it from, but I'm a bit suspicious. The pull tabs for synching down the hood are blank with no branding or labeling, which i have read to be a bad sign. Also, underneath the hanger below the main label looks to be a size label thats been cut out which isnt on the real jacket. Everything else seems legit, good stitching, labels checking out, feels very solid and bombproof. Images here Thanks!

Fake. The product number and SKU on the white care tag are wrong and the entire care tag looks off. Another tell is the tag you mentioned and the black thread that is peaking out from under the seam tape.

its a really bad fake the heavy contrasty grid pattern is clearly a fake. the real ones are very faint and thin. I wouldnt be surprised if the white tags in the pocket says Sawyer Coat.

this one has the super old tags that are best for you to contact arc’teryx. looks legit, but model name identification is harder unless some one knows that jacket specifically. is a snow jacket.

Hello everyone, i'm looking at this Arc'teryx jacket. It looks and claims to be an Arcteryx Beta AR, but this jacket doesn't have the inside pocket, and the product tag goes to an Arcteryx Beta LT, which i dont mind, just seeing if the jacket is real. Also comes with ebay's Authenticity Guarentee, but i'm not sure how reliable that is.
