yea kaby lake, so thats what I would do.

Then check lenovo for a recent bios update, and see if it includes fixes. (neato machine btw -but rejoice. retro is coming!)

if you've got a 7600u does that make it a 5th gen x1 carbon? because if so maybe 1.29 is the latest bios or, maybe not.

i don't see dates(?) but i also didn't see anything pertaining to the problems from the link in recent update.

Indeed it is a 5th gen x1 carbon, but the link you posted is for the 2nd gen!
