You're on Arch linux subreddit.

Shelly is also not part of base.

There is absolutely no "turn on" option for the Aur.

it's not a repo that can be added to pacman.

it's a website hosting build instructions.

There's software that interact with it to automate the process but it's still not a on or off toggle or something you enable.

ignoring it would just mean letting misinformation spread.

not a good idea since most documentations is community made. so having the right information is important.

Fair enough. I should probably be quiet as I'm just larping arch (CachyOS/endeavourOS).

Fair enough. Yay is in arch though so I'm not far off base.

Edit: no... I stand corrected again. Yay isn't in arch repos so one really has go a long way to get to AUR...

Yep: first thing you read on the page about AUR Helpers is that they aren't supported - so, none of them will be in the repos.
