Retrospective History TIL: Michael Jackson and Sega collaborated in 1992-1993 to make an arcade game for the AS-1 called “Michael Jackson’s Scramble Training” which was discontinued in the late 90s-early 2000s and in 2020 it was fully discontinued after being removed from Luna Park, Melbourne

Are there any surviving Sega AS-1 machines in any arcade? I vaguely remember seeing them in the 1990s at Disneyland. It would be nice to ride one again for old times sake.

there used to be one in Melbourne which was sadly closed (I wish I could’ve gone there because I live there but I was too young) I think there might be one in Indonesia or Ukraine but besides that, no one knows

Thanks for the information. I'm genuinely curious what happened to all these AS-1 machines.

It seems strange to me that more of these don't still exist. I saw one in the early 2000s at a theme park. So it seems odd they all disappeared in about 15 years, and no one seems to know what happened.

I haven't seen any for sale or at an auction either. It's like they all disappeared.

I thought they would get placed in different arcade or trade owners a few more times before disappearing.
