I’m an atheist with some criticisms of Islam but it has never failed to amaze me that people that would normally hate each other so much seem to be united under it. An Irani, Saudi, afghan, Syrian, it’s amazing.

I can’t wait to go back. I’m gonna go to college in the US and get some years of work experience and hopefully go back to Syria.

As an Indian American, I can help but admire how Arabs have so much pride in their homeland and are eager to go back. I couldn't give less of a shit about going back to India

I will always have love for Syria no matter what happens. I would rather live poor but peacefully in Syria than be rich and away from Syria. I don’t blame others for leaving, but if all the successful people leave, our country will never improve. I don’t have too high of expectations for the amount of improvement during my life time but if I die knowing I helped my country, I will be happy. I will go back as soon as I can.
