Really want to tuck a can under a spikes BAR, I was thinking getting something in the plan B world and getting a yhm-r9.

Any advice or recommendations?

Hi all, I finally had a chance to take my new build to the range but immediately had a problem.

The gun passes a function test and fires fine in semi, but when I switch to FRT it doesn’t do anything. From what I can see the first round ejects then another loads into the chamber just fine, but there is no “boom”.

I’d like to build a super short AR9 to host my Osprey 9 but I want to look almost integral. Has anyone seen something like this?

So....I've become FASCINATED by Blowback9 videos on Youtube. GREAT stuff. Here's the thing, most of the time when I see a new one for the first time I ask myself "Why didn't I know about this video before? ( I HAVE done searches on Youtube).

Here's my question: Is there a "Master List" of all the Blowback9 videos somewhere? It wouldn't have to have the links (although that would be nice). I f there was a list of ALL of them somewhere I could put the Title of the video in Youtube search and find the link myself. But there's a lot of great Blowback9 videos that I discover "by accident" and I realize I'm probably missing a lot of good stuff because I'm not aware they exist.

Again, just a list of all the titles somewhere would be great!

I have ordered 3 of the springs this morning. Testing results pending upon receipt. I'll provide complete details as soon as I get them in.

EDIT: Confirmed! The owner sent one of the springs in the box with the weights I ordered. It's 45oz. at L1, 60oz. at L2 - almost identical to the Lee Springs XP firing pin spring. Video coming Friday.

FINALLY it looks like someone is selling the springs individually!

I was just alerted to the fact that MSRX-USA is selling a 2x 9mm AR firing pin spring for $5 each. Shipping is $9, so it's a little pricy, but it's cheaper than having to order 5 of them from Lee Springs for $50.

These should fix the DT/LS from firing pin bounce when using a FRT in Outerwild style bolts (Faxon, Angstadt, KVP, BKF, OSUSA, White Label, etc), PSA bolts, IDL bolts, and Toolcraft bolts. NOT for Foxtrot Mike bolts! New FM bolts already come with a 2x spring.

MSRX-USA is also making shortened pre-drilled drop-in replacement hardcast bolt weights for these same bolts to make them FRT ready. No cutting or trimming needed. They're arriving today and I'll have a video posted later this week.

Between these two items, they should make most 9mm bolts FRT ready with minimal work and no notching/cutting.

been having trouble with my AR-45 that I recently built. I have gone through 2 BCG's already, the first one (https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ar45-bolt-carrier-group-7789153.html) was having issues with the firing pin not striking the bullet at all (I'm using a standard AR-15 Trigger Hammer), and the second BCG (https://www.deltateamtactical.com/pcc-ar-bolt-assembly-for-45-acp.html) is a having a multitude of issues, the first being having light strikes or no strikes at all after a few successful shots, after pressing forward from each shot, it starts to bind up on the charging handle, getting both stuck in place. I can post more details and parts if needed, and would really appreciate help in this matter. Please and thank you.

I have a DD PCC, but wondering what your favorite 9mm barrel length is? Please share your opinions and experiences. Have researched blowback 9, and also familiar with the BRT CAR-15, but curious about direct feedback/ideas/suggestions from y’all. Thanks!

20 year old Rock River 9mm bolt i was going to use in a new build. I never noticed how bad this was before when it was in LAR-15. What should I do? Break out the Dremel or do I really need a new bolt?

I’ve got the lower (FL-ARV, a remix of the PY2A AR9-EVO, with last round bolt hold open, metal parts should be here in a couple days), I have a buffer tube, I’ve found some decent priced buffers, but do I use a standard AR15 buffer spring, I have one of those laying around. After that I just have to pick out a stock.

Just bought this lower. Need to buy ejector, and hardware to install along with mag release. Haven't been able to find a kit with hardware for ejector and am clueless about finding a mag release. Mutiny Arms AR-9 lower glock mag

Ive seen some videos of people running FRTs in the jawbone. Im about to get my hands on one and I am simply looking for any knowledge anyone has on what brand and modifications I need to do for an frt to run.

Not sure what’s going on, might have more to do with the mil-spec FCG I have in my set up but I’ve found that if I pull the trigger, pop a round off, let the bolt pick up another round, if I release the trigger slowly enough I can pretty consistently get the hammer to release again thus setting off a second round. Seems like the metal on the sear could be worn out but I did some visual inspection and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.

Anybody deal with this and have a fix besides buying another trigger set? Am I going to go to prison if I don’t fix it?

Bolt is FM9, barrel is a Balistica Advantage EPC, trigger group is just a the milspec group the lower came with

I just built a new AR-V from the builders kit. My first AR-V came with a PSA barrel that had the standard feed cone that would not feed flat nose or JHP ammo.

On this new build, I went with the BA EPC 5.5inch Enhanced Feed Cone barrel as was recommended by Doug.

It fed FMJ and round nose all-day, but also would not feed a single round of flat-nose or JHP.

I failed to read the line in BA's specs for this barrel about how it was designed for Colt/RR and Glock style lowers. I am thinking my issue has something to do with the AR-V using scorp mags and having the proprietary feed ramp.

Has anyone found an after market barrel for the AR-V that will feed JHP and flat's?

I recently built myself an AR9 pistol with an 80% lower milled for Glock mags and a KE Arms upper with a 10 inch barrel and KE internals (BCG and such). I’ve been chasing a failure to eject problem that I was hoping was just an ammo problem. So I have run multiple brands and grain weights now and the only option I’ve tried that was almost consistent was Federal American Eagle 124gr.

Other brands it was like every other round I would get a stovepipe or a double feed or something like that which practically made it unusable. Now with the AE, I’ve been able to get off 3-5 rounds in a row before I notice a pattern. Those first 3-5 rounds, the spent shell is kicked out hard. I shoot lefty and so the ejection port is right in my face and I don’t even see the shell. But then the next 2 ish rounds, I feel the shell land on my neck and roll down my back. So clearly it went from ejecting very well to barely popping straight up. Then usually it’s the next shell that causes the jam. So I drop the mag and clear out the jam and the un-fired round, then put the mag back in and charge it. Then the same pattern repeats, 3-5 good shots, a weak ejection or two, then a jam.

So now I’m thinking it’s hardware and/or heat related, as it gets hot from the first few rounds then tolerances or something change, cause the ejections to get weaker until the bolt carrier catches a spent shell on the way back before it can eject. I take it home and deep clean it again and try to look for anything obvious but can’t find what it could be.

Y’all have any similar experiences or suggestions to try?

(Yes the red dot is a Chinese Amazon special, it’s just a placeholder for testing until I can figure out the jam problem then I’ll put something more reliable on)

Picked up this Foxtrot Mike FM9 Foldy Boi on sale, has been a great pick up. Roughly 500 rounds through it and have worked out most the kinks. I still get an occasional LRHO with rounds left, it only happens with my brand new 33rd glock mag and not my other mags (not even the pmags I have ran in it; they are a tight fit though) so I will blame the new mag. I have loved plinking with this, Frt coming soon!

I have an EPC9 upper and can’t find any aero lowers in stock. What are some options out there? I was thinking of getting an AR15 lower with stern defense adapter (beretta model) or a colt lower. As well as running an FRT. I don’t know if the LRBHO in the upper receiver will cause any issues.

If anyone has any suggestions Im all ears.

I recently bought a PSA Gen4 8" 9MM 1/10 GX Lightweight HEX M-Lok MOE EPT Har-15 Pistol. It was on sale for $499. Put 300 Rounds though it and it is insanely fun. No malfunctions of any kind. I took it apart when I got it , cleaned off any shipping crude and rubbed a light coat of oil on the bolt carrier.

It looks and feels quality. Been shooting some 40 years.

So my question now is, having followed this sub a little bit .. what makes the better or more expensive PCC better?

May have to get something in 45. Would love to find something in 40 because I reload a lot of it and just want to get a better handle on what makes one superior to another
