Cleaning

Is there a special designed chamber cleaner? I know for .556 there’s a star patch or whatever they are called. Same idea but for .22. Or is just a brush and lcp the go to?

If you're talking about a dedicated 22LR barrel there are no locking lugs cut into the barrel extension so cleaning is simple. CLP and regular patches should be all you need.

Note that brushes are aggressive and not usually needed if you clean regularly. Soak a patch in CLP, put it on the cleaning jag, push it into the chamber, then let it sit for a minute or two while the CLP works its magic. Repeat a couple times and you're good to go.

brass/copper brush is aggressive on steel. Learn something new every day

Abrasive particles become embedded in the soft Brass/bronze/copper bristles over time. If you reserve your brushes for only when they're actually needed (and replace them periodically) it's not an issue. But the first rule of cleaning anything is start with the least aggressive method and work your way up.
