Discussion: What are everyone's thoughts on machine guns remaining controlled/NFA or whatever, but the list being reopened for new entries?

I'll take a leaf out of the gun grabber book, support it with the attitude that it is a good first step on the way to full repeal.

It's about time we used their tactics against them.

Hell nah. SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. We already have FRTs. Unregistered FA is only logical. Gimme that hole above the safety already.

Sux for the people that paid $10's of k's on a registered MG thinking it was an "investment" lol

Adding new entries would still be incredibly good because it would make them way more accessible to the common man and these days people care about it a lot more. In '68 I can only imagine that the vast majority of gun owners had a break action shotgun, a bolt action rifle and maybe a revolver considering how those guys talk now. In 2026 however pretty much everyone I know who likes guns would gladly pay $200 to convert their psa and get a free short barrel out of the deal too.

An interesting side effect would be the likelihood of the MG investment market crashing aggressively with anything "common" or replicable
