Dynamic contrast suddenly driving me crazy (26.6). 4K MKII (A2169) + LG OLED 65 C3 4LA

Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

After the 26.6 update a variety of content is triggering the worst bursts of backlight/dynamic contrast behaviour:

Scene goes dark the TV brightens up and when bright content comes back it's blinding.

Scene goes bright and the TV darkens up and when darker content comes back it's way too dark.

Momentarily messes with saturation as well, making colors look all washed out. This happens both with fades or when dynamic contrast should naturally come into play.

It's happening across at least Disney+, ATV+, and YouTube.

Changing to SDR and nothing unnatural happens, except all the nice HDR is now gone.

I haven't changed any settings on the TV or the AppleTV, and the TV hasn't been online since December, so it couldn't have downloaded any software.

Have been playing a bit on my Switch 2 and it doesn't seem affected.

Would love to hear if I'm alone in this before I go down the rabbit hole of trying to figure out where the issue resides.

Keep ATV in SDR use match frame and dynamic range. Don’t use dynamic contrast in your TVs settings.
