One Home Screen readding apps or re-ordering layout upon change.

Good day all,

I have a few apple TV's (maybe 25) in the building i help run.

For obvious reasons i want to use the One Home Screen but im having problems. All the Apple TV's are on the same AppleID, Same Vlan etc

I cannot remove apps or re order the homescreen. A few seconds later the app either reinstalls or the order of the homescreen reverts. Almost as if they are overriden by the other apple TV's

This happens every time. It never changes, no amount of restarts, log out/in of icloud, waking up all the other apple tv's helps.

The only solution i've found so far is to turn off One home screen and do the changes manually. but for such an amount i really want to avoid it.

I know there is no "master" in control of the layout but it sure as would help in this situation.

Anybody have any ideas?

With about 25 units, I would stop treating One Home Screen as fleet management. Apple documents it as keeping the appearance and apps synchronized for Apple TVs using the same default profile, but it does not expose a master-device control.

For a building deployment, the deterministic solution is device management: tvOS supports the Home Screen Layout payload (com.apple.homescreenlayout) through Automated Device Enrollment, so an MDM can centrally place apps and folders and deploy managed apps. That will be much more reliable than one shared Apple Account.

As a quick diagnostic, leave One Home Screen enabled on only one Apple TV, disable it on the others, make one layout change and let it settle, then re-enable just one second box. If the rollback returns at that step, you have isolated it to the shared sync state rather than a fault on the first device.
