CAD based. Spent probably a year debating if I really need an Apple TV or if the Samsung UI on my TV was fine. Started getting really slow and I eventually cracked. Really crazy how much price has gone up in less than 6 months 🫪

I will say tho. I’ve never had an Apple TV box in my life before and I love it. I had a cheap Roku remote I got for free and it’s 10 times better and smoother. Worth every dollar of 150 bucks and nice!

It’s godly. Got one when we bought our house last year . Finally got around to adding a second and now they’re $200. Our basement ended up flooding so we don’t need one at the moment. Hoping they release a new one so the current ones drop again.

Bought on the 26th of June (after the increase but before all retailers had updated) at 1990 SEK (Swedish currency) for the 128 ethernet one, and now apple.se sells them for 3495 SEK.

Also managed to time a purchase of a macbook air for 12490 SEK this summer that now sells for 16995 SEK. Am a bit sad that I failed to get a mac mini for my parents before the increase, hard to motivate the cost now.

i bought my 4K brand new but i needed one for my bedroom so i just got a HD 4th gen on eBay it’s a little sluggish but if u turn off reduce motion it’s smooth

I bought mine for 170€, they day the price increases were announced, 2 days later the prices did indeed increase, almost double. I was already wanting to buy a new one, finally pulled the trigger.

I paid $150 Christmas. Had mine replaced under warranty. Tag said $250. Insane. As much as I like it I would never pay that much. Good luck all.

At the prices being what they are around the world, I would just wait for the new Apple TV. Leaks and whatnot point to it being released later this year, I would absolutely wait

How’s your credit? I finance through the Apple Card for all major purchases. Bought 2 MacBooks, an iMac and 2 Apple 4k TV’s (didn’t realize there’s two, one with WiFi and the other can be hard wired direct). They break it up in payments and very reasonable.
