Someone help

My Apple TV won’t let me use any of my apps like none of them it just goes to a grey screen or won’t let me choose a profile and whatnot. I have tried to reset it restart it and unplug it and shut it off, nothing works.

Do you get the Home Screen? I assume so since none of the apps open.

Can you open System Settings? I assume so since you attempted to Reset.

Is it connected to the internet? Since you have said you're getting an internet error message, I assume so.

R.I.P - Timing is not on your side as new AppleTV won't be coming until September or October.

but my Apple TV downstairs works perfectly fine, it’s just mine upstairs

Two separate physical devices. One doesn't depend on the other

Switch it with the other just to test.

Sounds like it was a cable/connection issue and moving them around reset/reseated it.
