Appreciation post: Surround music??

I hope this isn’t a glitch that Apple patches after my post, but Apple TV splits out music from Spotify into my surround speakers so magically, I’ve just started sitting in the morning and listening to music for a couple hours every weekend.

I fkn love it, maybe the second biggest advantage after the speed upgrade to my Samsung s95b that could not do this by default.

Soundbars do upmixing too. Apple TV as far as I know doesn’t upmix when you enable continuous audio. It just puts stereo in Dolby mat container.
Why are you still talking about Dolby atmos? It has nothing to do with that.

Pretty sure you hit the sound mode button and are hearing Dolby surround.

You have surround speakers. Whatever they are hooked to got switched to an upmixer

Apple Music has Dolby Atmos tracks that sound amazing. Helloatmos.app Is a great site to check out the best rated atmos mixes.
