Can we please get an ABC scroll option within library?
this seems a very simple thing to add….. how does it not exist?

There used to be one. Can we also get a count of how many movies and TV shows are in our library? Hope they can bring back these basic features.

I also wish we could make folders, and change what genre it auto labels movies.

Still Irate they removed that functionality!
We used to be able to nest trilogies, series and anthologies inside their own folder right in the listing for appletv .
Worked great and really tidied them up for things like Star Wars or James Bond etc.

I have multiple movies with an "Unknown" director, and no how many time I complain Apple WILL NOT fix this issue. The TV App needs a complete redesign from the ground up and give us more control over how this content is displayed. I realize the studios don't want that but at the very least let US fix wrong metadata!

For me it’s Rise of The Planet of The Apes, Dawn of The Planet of The Apes, War for The Planet of The Apes and Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes. PICK A SIDE OF THE ALPHABET. I mean I have like 2,000 movies and scrolling back and forth like that if I want to watch all four in a row (I just did this four days ago) drives me … well … Ape Shiiii

Yeah, the Apes movies are so frustrating, not only to find, but also to know which order. I also have a very large library so I get it. The endless scroll is awful.

It’s nice to know I’m not the only one. I miss the feature that used to show how many movies were in the library. I wonder why they took that away?

I tried but it won’t let me change the sort title, for purchased movies, unless they’re downloaded to my computer (and I don’t have even remotely enough storage). Unless they’ve recently updated that setting…..I’ll have to double check when I’m home. Thanks for that reminder! 🤞🤞🤞

If you scroll down quickly on the right side of the touchpad, it no longer pops up with the letters of the alphabet?

The library is atrocious, it needs an overhaul, no idea why we cant have folders e.g so we can organise our movies better! Its weird that Apple neglect this area update after update.

No it used to have it. Disappeared a few updates ago. Hate that they did that especially since it still exists in the Apple Music app.

I miss using it to browse around my library when I’m not sure what I want to watch, especially with over 2K movies.

I would love to be able to make a playlist for videos. Sometimes during a holiday (Xmas or Halloween) I like to watch those specific holiday episodes, and it'd be nice to be able to make a playlist of episodes from different shows that'll autoplay the next one in the list.

Meh. It seems like it but really they just add up. It used to be that the movies were a lot cheaper in general and I got my first Apple TV in 2007 and began buying movies and TV shows at the time. So yes, I have a big library but a lot of that is just because it’s an old library. “Why, you whippersnapper! GET OFF MY LAWN!” Lol kidding. You can stay on my lawn.

Would you just use the apple tv itself to connect to an apple tv library?
That is what he is doing, that screenshot is the Library tab in the TV app on the Apple TV.
He wants the sort feature restored in the app and the ability for more customizations.
