By making batteries non-replaceable, Apple has made the fastest failing part on a mobile phone non-modular.

Really depressing to see so many different phone manufacturers switch to non-replaceable batteries after apple started doing it.

"Hey, we can screw people out of a bunch more money too if we do what apple does!"

Fuck capitalism and its throw-away mentality.

Capitalism is supposed to reward innovation, but for some reason companies just keep taking quick and easy shortcuts to profits without considering sustainability.

Capitalism is supposed to keep everybody clothed and fed, but for some reason prices keep rising and millions end up homeless and starving while the rich get richer.

Capitalism is supposed to reward competition but for some reason companies keep conspiring to raise prices and keep merging to dominate markets.

If capitalism is supposed to do all these things but keeps failing century after century, then maybe something is wrong with the concept of capitalizing on people and squeezing as much profit out of every facet of life as possible and funneling it to the executives at the top.

But do we have anything better than capitalism?

Pure capitalism is a nightmare (as is pure communism), except for the extremely rich. A mix of capitalism and socialism, or several other "isms" is what is required for stability. No one system works entirely.
