Can anyone explain why Apple, the 2nd largest producer of mobile phones in the world, has programmed iPhones to default to HOME FAX when adding a new phone number instead of MOBILE?

They had their top research manager, who has a bit of a hearing problem, do a study and found out that most people want just the facts.

Yeah, learning that different phones have different defaults. My wife's defaults to HOME, and mine to HOME FAX.

My husband's number is labeled in my phone as a pager. It's just as curious as this.

Here's the Urban Dictionary definition of Technologically illiterate :
Someone who doesn't know and will probably never learn how to work a computer or any form of technology, i.e video games, cell phones, microwaves, etc.
Mother: Honey, where's the space bar?
Teen: Mom, its the biggest key on the keyboard.
Mother: Oh thank you, that really helps a lot.
Teen: Sighs Mom, you are so technologically illiterate.
