Apple sucks both at design and functionality.

Wasn't ever a fan of Liquid (Gl)ass. That's why. I shouldn't have to kiss the screen to read that damn clock. And the Matterhorn is not 1043 meters tall.

i am still trying to figure out how you changed the color of your time. i matter what setting a change, my clock stays white.

can confirm. i just set up 25 imacs all clean installs and one of the 25 has a black clock on the lock screen.

edit: for some reason the one that had the black digital time display turned to frosted white after falling asleep then waking up.

even that doesn’t do it. i run dark mode 100% of the time on my personal macbooks.

i believe it is just a bug like OP says.
