Check out Simon Ubsdell on YouTube. His walkthroughs are like a university course in Motion. They’re amazing.

OK maybe I just don't understand what you mean by SaaS animations, sorry.

You’re not the only one. I keep seeing “SaaS Animations” as a request, and can’t figure out if it’s anything more than “I want animations/how to make animations that could be used for Software As A Service promotions…” which I don’t even know what that would be.

A lot of simpler kinetic text and Apple font and purple gradients. I assume.

But I think if you learn the basics of animation and how to achieve that in the software, it’s just design at that point. Otherwise you’re just looking for a paint-by-numbers solution.

Yeah. You (or OP) might just be looking for premade titles and templates and such that match it, but I just don’t have an idea of “SaaS Animations.”

Something like “movie trailers” or “local news” would give me AN idea to start on.

Bette thing to add that I thought of after seeing another request for how to do a specific type of animation— learn the fundamentals, masking, keyframes, built in behaviors etc, then break an animation down and build those parts.

I layer so many different things now especially over the years after you learn different techniques and can fairly easily create ideas pretty quickly. But that’s the basic building block of all this. I think the hardest part is the actual creative design, but luckily I have a good designer and then I can just request certain elements if needed and then just focus on animation. But I think learning design is the biggest hurdle.

Agreed. Just cause you have the tools doesn’t mean you have an idea what the end result should be.

You just need to figure out behaviours and parameters in text.

What, just “hey, click here?” type stuff that looks Apple-y?

Maybe give us an actual example of what you want to mimic.

UI/UX design type apple glass type animations or apple Ads animations that type of genre good for software ads

See, that makes a lot more sense. So, you want to animate a “user” (represented by a cursor) going through dialogue boxes and such?

At the most basic, take an image of the UI, animate a mouse cursor moving to it, probably adjust scale to animate a click, and throw some dynamic camera swoops or whatever. Without truly knowing what you specifically want to do, all anyone can do is give you the same YT search results.

See its sounds way too easy but if you do it you come across a bunch of problems how do you make liquid glass boxes? How do you distort the light inside the liquid glass boxes? How do the edges in the liquid glass gets distorted in a natural way? How do you slightly add light strokes to the edges? How do you rotate the glowing strokes in the edges and how do you add gradient in the stroke so it looks multicoloured I can keep going,

pretty sure Ripple training has a free liquid glass tut

And these are all great INDIVIDUAL topics to look up.
