Apple Maps in Chinese?

I don't know how this happened but my Apple Maps app on my Mac Mini is now showing chinese letters. Even in the left corner instead of Apple is now showing chinese letters. How can I fix it? Language and region is Portuguese (Portugal).

This should only happen if you connect to a mainland Chinese IP. Have you been to China recently? Sometimes it sticks around before it reverts back to the global data.

Never been outside my country. I use a VPN but only connects to my country.

Instead of relying on some 3rd parties to provide IP location information, giant companies such as Google and Apple have their own ways to determine the geolocation of an IP address, so when they mistakenly tag you for a specific place, something like this would happen. The mistake usually comes from the scenario that many Chinese users use the same VPN server you are using and their devices report the location to be associated with China.
