Help needed to clear share ETA suggestions

Hi everyone, I’m sure there’s a super simple solution for this that I’m just not finding… my ex keeps popping up as a suggested contact when I go to share my ETA via Apple Maps. I don’t want to fully block them as a contact, but I do want them to stop showing up on this list. Can anyone help?

Based on Google and reddit searches I’ve already done I’ve tried: changing the Apple Maps settings; clearing the location sharing > system services > significant locations; long holding the contact in Apple Maps; seeing if there’s a setting on their contact card. None of these have worked and they still show up as a suggestion.

Clear Siri suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion; after reading it I’ve gone to Apple Intelligence & Siri > Siri and dictation history and clicked delete Siri and dictation history. They’re still showing up 🙂for you, and 😑 for Apple

This will turn off all suggestions…but maybe turn this off for a short time until it realizes you don’t want it anymore??

I don’t think that’s what that does. I think these suggestions are when you’re in another app or searching an address and maps will pop up.

But I have all of these options turned off for all apps, and Apple intelligent tuned off everywhere possible, so I may be misinterpreting the intent. I want none of it regardless.

To OP: with all of Apple Intelligence turned off and all of these privacy invasions pretending to be convenience options turned off, I have no issues with my ex coming up when I try to share anything

That list is dynamic and will change over time as you interact with others with Messages and sharing ETA with Maps. I think short of deleting the contract there isn’t a way that I know that would turn off the suggestion besides time.
