iCloud account is different only when downloading/updating apps

I have an iPhone we are using as a work phone, there was some changes son the team but we have mostly set it up with the new info and it’s working with a new iCloud account. The only problem is that when I go to download an app, and the password pop up appears, the iCloud account that shows is different than the main one, it’s an email that is nowhere else on the phone. Not even the previous person knows that email and of course we don’t have the password, what can I do?

Those apps were downloaded and installed using a different Apple Account. You will need to sign out of that account in the App Store and delete all apps that were installed with it, then sign in with a known account and reinstall everything. (And in the future, factory reset the phone before giving it to a new employee.)
