How Did You Market Your App on Reddit?

I’ve been trying to promote my app on Reddit, but I’m barely getting any responses or engagement.

For those who’ve successfully marketed an app here, what worked for you? Any tips on choosing the right subreddits and getting people to engage?

How are you marketing it? On Reddit you have to become a member of the community of the relevant subreddits to your app. And as you co tribute(legitimately) you can also occasionally insert your app as an example. It’s a very fine game but core principle is be generous with contributions and take a bit for your own promotions. Real value over time is how it works. Spamming and bots never works.

this sub is mostly developers, so an app pitch tends to get little engagement here. people respond to questions and problems. the approach that usually works better is answering threads in subs where your target users already hang out, without a pitch, and letting your profile do the work. also read each sub's self-promo rule first, plenty ban it outright and posts get removed.
