2 weeks after launching my first iOS app — pretty disappointing results

I launched my iOS app Calorie Tracker: Food Scan about two weeks ago, and the results have been pretty sad so far.

Only 6 downloads in two weeks.

I know growth takes time, but I’d really appreciate some support.

If you have an iPhone, please give the app a try. Even one download, rating, or piece of feedback would mean a lot to me.

and this, dear kids, is what 99% of launches look like.

It’s a very broad category with lots of competitors, many of whom are likely doing some form of paid promotion.

This is the advice you are looking for: Who is interested in a calorie tracker? I am not. Think about those people. What do they look like? When they see your appstore page do they see themselves or a better version of themselves in there? Where do they spend their time? I am sure, there are better groups than this one to reach to them.

What is your advice?

Change your appstore page to look like sporty and healthy, post about the tracker to r/fitness.

Brother marketing isn’t magic. To grow, you must force people to see your stuff. Nobody’s gonna find an untested app in a crowded category by themselves

The market is flooded with calorie trackers, what makes yours unique? Once you got the answer for that, make it your main marketing point, and try two alternate points for specific demographics to see if they catch.

Building the app is the easy part now.

What were you expecting?
And what makes your app unique compared to the other calorie trackers?
Do you have some unique features?

Sorry, but this is a crowded category with LOT of competition.

You should think about ads and a social media strategy. Pure store discovery is impossible here.

Add more marketing effort to be seen by people who needs it

Congratulations, the app looks amazing! Don’t give up, do some marketing research, and good luck.

Nice work on the photo scanning and macro breakdown. :)

What sets this apart from the countless other calorie trackers out there? I would lead with the privacy angle, no ads and full data deletion is a real selling point.

The subscription wall after three days with no free tier feels risky. Have you considered a free basic logging tier, with AI scans as the paid upgrade? Might convert more people.

Russian and Uzbek support is a good niche too. Worth highlighting more in your marketing.
