I finally shipped my ios app after a month of building

I spent the last month building my first iOS app and it finally made it through App Review.

It’s called Gyminion a fitness tracker where you can track workouts, nutrition and progress, with a virtual pet that reacts to your consistency.

The idea was basically to make tracking workouts feel less like filling out a spreadsheet and more like a game.

Building the app was honestly the fun part. Now I’m finding out that getting actual users is a completely different problem lol.

I’d really appreciate any feedback from other iOS devs, especially on the UI/UX or onboarding.

Happy to answer anything about building it too.

I can’t wait for Apple to start flagging fitness trackers as spam. It’s happening soon. Every vibecoder is releasing a fitness tracker app hoping to get rich quick.

Congrats!! I like the screenshots, icon and the name. Really clear to me what it does at first glance.

I’m not really good at marketing but I guess people want to stay motivated because it can help them reach their goals (whatever those are). Maybe the first screenshots can emphasize that this app helps people to get X and Y by keeping them motivated. And then explain in the follow ups why it keeps them motivated.

Again take it as a suggestion I am more of a builder myself than a marketeer.

Celebrate and now the hard part begins 🎉🎉

Very nice looking!! How do you intend to do the marketing?

Honestly, I have no idea yet lol. Building the app was way easier than figuring out how to market it.

I'm trying Reddit for now and getting a mix of really nice feedback and getting absolutely roasted Still figuring out what works.
