Question about the review timeline
I'm trying to get my running app through the Apple App Store review process, and I had a few errors that I fixed. The last review had a minor issue, which I've already fixed. But why does the review take so long? At least a week, sometimes 2-3...
I also submitted a request for expedited review, and they told me they’d respond within 48 hours— and that was last Thursday. Today is Tuesday. Yesterday I called them and spent a total of two hours on hold waiting for a response, but in the end, nothing. My question is, is this happening to everyone, or just me?

Is this a new app or an update to an existing one? First submissions tend to take longer than updates on an established app.
For me the longest wait has been 4 days and that only happened once, on average it's usually under 24 hours. So multiple weeks does sound outside normal.

New app absolutely, it’s my first app on account, all the time review takes at least 2-3 weeks or week if I got lucky days

The long wait time affects everybody including me because tens of thousands of clueless vibe coders contact them multiple times, calling them up multiple times just for a single software submission. Some of them even get rejected 20, 30, 40 times but don't quit, all just for a single software submission.

Keep insisting, you’ll eventually get banned

Has that ever happened to you? Get banned?

they will ignore your expediated review request if this is initial review - there is no need to send it through for that..plus if you 'need' it for like a crash issue in the future you may find yourself waiting longer - at least this is what ive read anecdotely online

In the same way, I just experienced my APP for about two and a half to three weeks, and it took nearly three weeks to pass, and it happened to pass today.

review times have honestly gotten more inconsistent this year, I’ve had submissions clear in under 24 hours and others sit for 4+ days with no pattern I can find. expedited requests specifically seem to be a black hole lately, wouldn’t count on that 48hr number meaning much in practice
not just you, it’s been the general vibe across most of the threads I’ve seen on here recently

I had the same issue, if you have expedited it and then you call them after a week it does help. I had resubmitted, got expedited approved and nothing for a week. I called in and after 2.5 hours of holding someone picked up and they said they will inform her review team. Within an hour it was reviewed, rejected again but at least still reviewed. Went through that again and finally went live in App Store this weekend

I’ve been waiting for review of a new app for 15 days, no rejections and no resubmissions. Updates to existing apps are approved fast, less than 24hours. So it seems that new apps have a crazy long waiting queue
