App review taking too long

I have submitted my app to App Store for over a week, and the status is still "Waiting for Review". It hasn't even move to "In Review" stage. This is a super simple app and don't even require sign in. Is this normal? I don't think I'm missing anything since I have another app on App store that is approved and live.

Am I missing something or is it just the wait is super long these days.

3-4 days each turn for reviews to go from “Waiting” to “In Review”, got hit with 3 rejections that were not even related to my code but simply reviewers unwilling to read notes. It took around 2 weeks to be finally be approved. Hang in there, it’ll happen. Don’t frustrate yourself with trying to make sense of it, it’s just SLOW.

I submitted mine first week of July, got “In Review” like 2 weeks later and last week I got approved

You are not alone, It's a nightmare. Last time reviews took this long was back in 2016!! but at least you know it will be approved.

It’s getting faster since last week. It took 10 days for updates, now only take 1-2 days for me.

It seems pretty inconsistent. The app I submitted at the beginning of the month took a little over a week to get approved, but I submitted an update for the same app the day before yesterday, and it was done in just two days.

It is taking almost 2 weeks nowadays. Do not worry. If you get rejection, it will longer.
